Parent Involvement
Join the MissionAt Eagle’s View Academy, we believe parents play a vital role in the life of the school. From volunteering at events to joining prayer groups or supporting classroom needs, there are many ways to get involved and strengthen our Christ-centered community.
Parent Volunteer Opportunities
Opportunities exist in chaperoning field trips, serving as classroom parents, and volunteering in booster club activities. In order to volunteer in a classroom, serve as a chaperone, or visit with a student during school hours parents must complete a background check facilitated by the school at the parent’s expense. This does not apply to assemblies, class parties, programs or events that parents are invited to attend.
Volunteer Levels at Eagle View Academy
To comply with Florida law, all school volunteers must complete a background screening. The type of screening depends on the level of responsibility and interaction with students.
Level 1 Volunteers
- Level 1 volunteers serve only while under direct supervision of Eagle View Academy staff and are never left alone with students.
- Examples: classroom helpers, book fair assistants, or cafeteria support.
- The fee for a Level 1 screening is $12.00 and is paid by the volunteer. This screening is good for one year.

Level 2 Volunteers / Chaperones
- Level 2 volunteers may, at times, be outside the direct supervision of staff or placed in a position of responsibility for students.
- Examples: field trip chaperones or activities where volunteers oversee students independently.

Screening includes a fingerprint-based background check, review of state and national criminal records, a sex offender registry search, and takes 5-10 days to complete.

The fee for Level 2 screening is $92.00 (card) or $89.00 (cash) and is paid by the volunteer directly to the screening provider. This screening is good for five years.
