07 Aug EVA Update for 8/6/22
Good afternoon EVA family,
It was great to see so many of you at Orientation on Thursday. As we go through the last weekend before the start of school, here are a few things to know.
The first day of school is Thursday, August 11th. That is half day dismissal for all students. Elementary students dismiss at 11:30. Middle and high school students dismiss at 11:50. The bell schedule for middle and high school students is below. Friday, August 12th, will be the first day of school.

Period 5 10:10 – 10:40
Period 6 10:45 – 11:15
Period 7 11:20 – 11:50
As we start the year, you will want to be familiar with our Parent-Student Manual. The 2022-2023 manual is posted in the Parent/Student Portal for all students and parents. If you do not have access to the Parent/Student Portal, please contact the school office at 904-786-1411.
Your students will also need their books when we begin school on Thursday. Students in grades K-5 through 6 simply need to order all the books in the bookstore for their grade level. If your student is in grades 7-12, they need to complete their course requests and get confirmation that the classes are correct. Once their classes are confirmed, you can order books for the upcoming school year. If your student did not receive a course selection email, please contact Mrs. Hall (firstname.lastname@example.org). The bookstore does offer $5 UPS Ground shipping on every order so be sure to take advantage of that. You are welcome to shop other websites for your student’s textbooks, but please remember that the books must have the same ISBN that is found in our bookstore, and all consumable books must be new without any writing in them.
Friday, August 12th, is also the first day that you can order lunch through our partnership with My Hotlunchbox. This year, we will partner with Firehouse Subs on Tuesdays, Chick-Fil-A on Wednesdays, The Loop on Thursdays, and Whataburger on Fridays. All orders through My Hotlunchbox must be placed by noon the day before.
We are also happy to announce steps that we will be taking to secure the EVA campus. A security guard will be on campus during the school day each day. Also, the main doors to the gym and MS/HS building will now stay locked throughout the day. Students in middle school and high school will be issued a school photo ID that allows them to unlock these doors during the day. Please know that the safety of your students while they are at EVA is of paramount importance to us.
Finally, I have attached a traffic map to assist everyone as they come on campus for the first day of school. Please make sure that you only enter the campus through the three gates on Ingram Street during student drop off and pickup.
