28 Jun EVA Update for 6-28-21
Good afternoon EVA family!
I hope you are doing well and enjoying your Friday. Here are the latest things to know:
The results of the Stanford Achievement Test 10 that was taken in April are back and have been emailed to you by Mrs. Rottmann. If your child took the test at EVA in April, and you did not receive those results by email, please contact her (crottmann@evajax.com). If you would like to receive the paper copy of your student’s results, they are available in the school office from 9am-3pm Monday through Thursday.
The 2021-2022 Parent/Student Manual is now available in the Parent/Student Portal. Please log into the portal to take a look at our updated manual. We will be previewing any new policies (many of which have been shared already) over the next few updates, but the best way to be aware of the school’s policies is to read the manual. You can log into the portal using the link below. If you do not have access to the Parent/Student Portal, please contact the school office at 904-786-1411 and they will be happy to help with that.

Course requests for students in grades 9-12 have been sent out by Mrs. Hall. If you or your student did not receive an email with this information, please contact her at nhall@evajax.com. Please complete these soon so that you can have an approved list of courses before the book store opens on July 5th.
School uniforms should be ordered this month to ensure all items can be received prior to the start of school. As a reminder, our uniform dress code does not require specific shoes or socks. Students may not wear slippers, flip-flops, or the like, but most other shoes and socks are allowed.

Finally, we made a few small changes to the calendar that you should know about. The Back-to-School Retreat has been removed. Camp Anderson has actually moved and is now an hour further away from EVA. We will be looking for a new camp or new arrangements for the upcoming years but have not scheduled a retreat for the 2021-2022 school year. We have also made a change to the Testing Day on October 13th. Students in grades 8 through 11 will still test on that half-day and the seniors will still meet that morning, but students in grades K5 through 7th will have no school on that half-day. We will have a teacher training day for all teachers that are not involved in administering tests on that day. A copy of the updated school calendar is linked below.
I hope you find this information helpful. If you have any question, please reply or contact the school office. Have a wonderful weekend and stay safe as you dodge the thunderstorms.
Sincerely,
Josh Sheetz
