18 Jun EVA Update for 6-18-2021
Good afternoon EVA family!
I hope that you are doing well and staying cool on these hot Florida days. Can you believe it is actually not even summer? Summer starts this Sunday, June 20th. June 20th is also Father’s Day and we are thankful for all of the dads, uncles, grandads, and other men that are a part of EVA and pour into the lives of EVA students. We hope that you have a wonderful weekend and enjoy a special day with your family!
As the summer break continues to race by, here are a few things to know so that your students will be ready for the August 9th first day of school.
The EVA Update will now live on the school website so that you can access it easily whether you are looking for the newest update or one from the past.

The school store is the place to find all of your uniform needs for the upcoming school year. It is incredibly important that you place your orders this month so that you can be assured that your student will have their uniform items by the start of the school year. Please come by the school where we have some uniform samples available to look at or go to the uniform store location in Orange Park to see all of the sized and items that are available.

The SAT-10 test results are in and we will sending those out via email next week. If you would like a paper copy of your student’s results, we have those ready in the school office for you to pick up between 9am and 3pm Monday through Thursday.
The school bookstore will open July 5th and there will be free shipping on all orders place July 5th through July 11th. If your student is in elementary, you will need to purchase all of the textbooks for their grade level. If your student is in middle or high school, you will want to complete the student course request that will be sent out in the next week so that you will know for sure what textbooks to purchase. Once you have submitted your course requests, you will receive a class list of the course that your student will need textbooks for. All workbooks and consumable books must be purchased new. Non-consumable books can be purchased used if that works better for you. You are not required to purchase your student’s books from out bookstore, but they do need the exact books listed for their classes in the bookstore. We will be sharing more information about this as we get closer to the bookstore opening.
If you have a student that will be a senior this year, you should have received an email with many important things to know. You can also see all of that information on our school website.

If your student is going into the 7th grade, be sure to have their immunizations up to date before the school year begins.
Finally, we have another service opportunity for our high school students. If your student loves sports, The Springs Church is hosting a sports camp next week. If they are interested in volunteering at this, they just need to contact with the children’s pastor, Pastor Tim, so he can do a background check. His cell phone number is (904) 762-6749. Volunteer students will be coaching soccer, basketball, football, or cheerleading depending on where the need is or possibly what the student prefers. We also could use help with crafts and snacks for those who may not want to be as active. The sports camp is Monday through Thursday, June 21-24, and volunteers need to be at Orange Park Elementary by 8 am and the camp lasts until around noon.
I hope this information is a help to you. As always, you can reply with your questions or reach out to our school office with your questions at 904-786-1411. Have a wonderful weekend!
Sincerely,
Josh Sheetz
