10 Dec EVA Update for 12-10-21
Good afternoon EVA family!
And with that, the first semester of the 2021-2022 school year is over. We had a wonderful time with the students today in our Christmas chapel. The holiday season not only allows us to take time some time to rest and celebrate, but it also allows us to look back on all that God has done for us this year.
Looking back on this week, we are very grateful for the many elementary parents and students that came to our Elementary Christmas Program. It was a sweet time of being reminded that Jesus is the true reason for this season, and that we are able to have joy and give and receive gifts because He came to earth, died, and was resurrected so that we could have the priceless gift of salvation. The students did an incredible job with singing and their verses. I am thankful for each student who performed, and also for the teachers who led them in practice and at the performance.
Today, many students throughout the school participated in class parties as a part of their final day. Thank you to all who brought food and other items for those. All of the classrooms seemed to have an abundance to go around which makes it a special day for the students. After several days of exams, it was great to see them spend a few minutes enjoying some food and time with each other.
Today we also finally heard that our new playground equipment is in. We were originally told November, but it was delayed, and we were not sure until this morning when it would arrive. I was on my way to chapel when I was told that they will be here Monday to begin the installation. When the elementary students arrive back from Christmas break, the new playground equipment and area will be awaiting them. Today our teachers also finished up some training for the interactive screens that were installed in each of the classrooms over the Thanksgiving break. We are hopeful that these tools will help engage our students in another way as we move into the spring semester.
As we wrap up this semester, our basketball teams will continue to play games through next week. If you have the opportunity to do so, please go out to a game cheer on the Warriors. All of the team schedules can be found on the EVA athletics website — http://www.evasathletics.com/
Finally, we like to get your feedback at the end of each quarter. If you would take a few moments to complete the survey below, we would appreciate your input.

That is all for now. I wish you and your family a Merry Christmas and a joyous holiday season. We will see you in 2022!
Sincerely,
