25 Jan EVA Update for 1-21-22
Good afternoon EVA family!
I hope you are doing well during the few days of winter that we will experience here in Florida. The week was a day shorter, but full of events for our students. I had the privilege of accompanying most of our middle school students to a theater production on Tuesday of this week. They really enjoyed the stories that we saw acted out on the stage, and I enjoyed interacting with them outside of the classroom. We have an interesting and diverse group of students here at EVA.
This was a busy week for our basketball teams and that continues tonight with our middle school and varsity boys’ teams playing home games tonight at 5 and 6pm. Tomorrow we will have a live wrestling event here in the EVA gym at 7:30. The baseball players have been selling tickets and I heard today that our varsity baseball coach will actually be officiating a big match called the Rumble. If you are not busy tomorrow night, come out to the EVA gym for some great family-friendly entertainment.
Next week will be as close to a normal week as possible with school Monday through Friday. It will also be the fourth week of the 3rd quarter. Now that the first three weeks are over, this is a great time to check grades and check in with your students about how the quarter has started. If you have a question for a teacher, the best way to contact them is through a quick email. If you do not know the teacher’s email address, you can find that on the page below.

Spring sports kick off next week. Baseball and track tryouts for students in grade 6 through 12 begin on Monday, the 24th, and softball tryouts begin on Tuesday, the 25th. If your student will be trying out, make sure they bring the needed gear and change of clothes with them on Monday.
Thank you for being a part of the EVA family. See you next week!
Sincerely,
Josh Sheetz
