Adelia “Dee” Tidwell : Kindergarten

After moving to the Jacksonville area several months ago, a search for a quality Christian education for my daughters brought me in contact with EVA.  I am both privileged and blessed to join the faculty of EVA this year as the kindergarten teacher.  I am a 1989 graduate of Auburn University Montgomery and hold a BS degree in elementary education.  After homeschooling my two oldest children for several years, I returned to classroom teaching in 2004.  Since then I have taught various grade levels as well as served in school administration. I have been married to my husband Keith for 28 years and we have four wonderful children, a beautiful daughter-in-law and a precious grandchild on the way.  My two youngest children will be attending high school at EVA this year.  My prayer and desire is to see my students and all the students of EVA come to know Christ personally, grow spiritually and develop academic excellence.

I graduated from the University of North Florida with a degree in Education in 1992 and have been working in the field of education since that time.  My first year of teaching at Eagle’s View Academy was 2002.  I feel honored and blessed to be able to teach two of my favorite subjects, Bible and Reading, each day!

Children are not only an important part of my school life, but my home life as well.  My husband, Rickey, and I have followed God’s call on our lives to be foster and adoptive parents since 2007.  We have three boys who have all attended EVA. Our two oldest boys have already graduated, and our youngest is still attending EVA.

God has richly blessed my life in so many ways, and I am eternally grateful to Him!

“You have granted me life and favor, and Your care has preserved my spirit.”  Job 10:12

I hail from the Chicago, Illinois area where I graduated from Judson College and played college baseball. For the last 20 years I have worked in the financial world as a Financial Advisor/Certified Financial Planner. The Lord has directed me to Eagles View on a 2nd career path.  My greatest accomplishment in life is my family having been married for 33 years to my wife Donna and blessed with two children Colt and Brittany.

I am thankful for Fellowship of Christian Athletes where I was saved as a young man at age 14. I have been blessed to have godly men in athletics along the way to guide me. It is my mission to use Football as a Season of Life for experiencing the purpose of Christ in the lives of our athletes and their families.

It’s exciting to be part of the EVA family as this is my third year coaching football at EVA. Go Warriors!
